Peaks of the Nepal Himalaya

Outline Itinerary for a Multi-Pass Trek in the Nepal Himalaya from the Makalu Region to the Dhaulagiri Region:
 
- Kathmandu  - Tumlingtar ( fly or by bus )
- Trek to the Barun Valley and Mount Makalu Base Camp
- Cross Sherpani Col or West Col into the Hongu Valley
- From Hongu Panch Pokhari cross Amphu Labtse into the Chukhung Valley
- Optional climb of Island Peak ( Imja Tse )
- From Chukhung Valley cross Khongma La to Lobuche in the Mount Everest region
- Climb Kallar Pattar and return to Lobuche
- Cross Cho La into the Gokyo Valley
- Climb Gokyo Ri.
- Cross Renjo La and descend to Thame
- Cross Trashi Labtse into the Rolwaling Valley
- Descend to Jagat
- Cross Thingsang La to Barabise
- Trek to the Langtang Valley ( across Tilman's Pass? )
- Cross Ganja La and trek to the Trisuli Valley
- Trek through the Ganesh Himal region to Arughat Bazzar in the Buri Gandaki Valley
- Trek to Samagaon Village beneath Mount Manaslu
- Cross Larkya La and descend to the Marsayangdi Valley
- Trek to Manang and cross Thorong La into the Kali Gandaki Valley and descend to Jomson
- Cross Dhampus / Thapa Pass to reach Dhaulagiri Base Camp
- Cross French Col / Pass and trek to Beni / Darbang.
- Return to Kathmandu
Extension to start from Rotang La on the Indian Border in the Kangchenjunga region:
 
- Kathmandu - Ilam / Phidim ( by bus ) or Taplejung ( by air )
- Trek to Yalung Glacier and Rotang La on the south side of Kangchenjunga
- Return via Taplejung to Besantapur
- Trek to Barun Valley and base camp for Mount Makalu ( as above )
